Tonight at Funny Button (my house) is a really cool gallery event featuring "art" (illustrations, paintings, etc) and "music" (sonic vibrations). It's starting at 7 and Late Nights for the Longing will will begin broadcasting sometime between 8 and 9. It depends on when things actually get started.
Maybe it'll just be a room full of kind people that you'll be hearing. Who knows!
If you'd like to come down, maybe involuntarily speak on the air, then the address is 4543 8th Ave NE in the University District.
This is the description of the event
A special night presenting the art work of Lilly Morlock, Mike Walker, and Erin Tanner.
Erin Tanner: Full Time Dreamer showing his comic End of the Rainbow volume 2 Fake news episodes 1-13, a new untitled drawing series with poems, and a special performance/presentation/ritual "secretly haunted".
Lilly Morlock: Girls Ghoulishly Grinning amongst Grotesque Grimy Globs of Grizzly Goblin Goo.
Mike Walker: Held together by Dark Matter these Ancient Skateboarders still shred in the outer realms of this mortal plain like a single static frame, flickering endlessly.
~Come over for refreshments, viewing, and hanging out.
~There will be light music, possibly in a band form.
~An artist podium will be available for possible artist introductions/lectures and Q & A
Erin will present around 9:00

Iconic, though virtually unknown, blues/folk/punk rocker Paul K will be on the air live (via Skype) tonight at 9 (PST). That’s Thursday, Sept 1st, right here on Hollow Earth Radio.
Although he is well known in his home town of Lexington, Kentucky, and in spite of the fact that he has been churning out legendary albums with his band, Paul K and the Weathermen, since the late 1980’s, Paul K is unknown throughout most of the world.
But it’s only a matter of time before he will be universally recognized as a legend. Will he have to wait until after he dies for this to occur? I sure hope not. Tune in and help make a difference while he is in top form.
Here’s a link to a great article about Paul K: http://www.sugarbuzzmagazine.com/bands/paulk/paulkweathermen.html
And here are links to a few of my favorite Paul K songs. It may take a few seconds for them to load, but I checked the links. They all work:
The Doctor Will See You Now
(two songs) Haunt Me Till I'm Gone/The Grid
You Should've Seen It Coming
Rest Your Head
