We are an online (streaming only) diy radio operating out of an
attic public space in Seattle's Central District. We feature found sound, field recordings, story-telling, dream-collecting, radio plays, live house shows, local in-home performances and content given to us BY YOU. We support local and northwest music and other underground music from around the world. We broadcast 24 HOURS A DAY everyday.
Buoy & Bellow
2 - 4 PM Sundays
DJ Dusty Mantle
Program Description: What happens when a buoy bellows; or, when a bellow is buoyed? In this show, Domenica and DJ Dusty Mantle will attempt to answer these and many other questions, through a mix of music and discussion. Musically we cover the obscurity of edges demarcating musical genres. From the avant to pop and all of the wonderful permutations of dissonance between. We cherish the challenging and sublimely pleasurable.
And buoys. And bellows. And strange words, of the prolix variety, like prolix.

The Seattle Foundation’s Give BIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations - a percentage of every dollar donated will be matched by the Seattle Foundation and GiveBIG sponsors. This year, Hollow Earth Radio is participating and we could use your help more than ever. As you may know, recent legislation has opened up new opportunities for community radio stations to apply for Low Power FM licenses and Hollow Earth is in the running to claim one of these frequencies in Seattle. In order to prepare ourselves for the transition to FM broadcasting, we will need major studio upgrades. To participate in Give Big and help out your local community radio station, visit Hollow Earth Radio’s page on the Seattle Foundation Website.

Our friends at Debacle Records are throwing another one of their fabulous "Debacle Festivals", and are partnering with Hollow Earth Radio. Which means if you go to the shows you're helping out Hollow Earth AND getting your mind blowned up ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
Full press release below....
As we prepare for our 6th Debacle Festival, this year is proving to be bigger and better than ever before. Occurring over the weekend of May 3rd, 4th, and 5th, the diversity of sound found on the label is represented by varying nights, from expansive, reflective drones, to an afternoon harsh noise and noise-rock matinee, to the final night, showcasing mutant-dance offshoot event MOTOR. While bringing out national acts like Detroit's Nate Young, Chicago's Hieroglyphic Being, and the Bay Area's Date Palms, the community feel is still retained with hyper-local acts like Brain Fruit and Black Hat. This years fest is centered around multimedia hall FRED Wildlife Refuge, located in Capitol Hill. And, we've also partnered with local online station Hollow Earth Radio as media partner and non-profit beneficiary.
